We had the wedding at the south beath location at night (the Sirata's first night time beach wedding) and the reception on the 8th floor in the Royal room. I highly recommend the Sirata, they went above and beyond. Melanie at the Sirata was awesome. The food was great and she took care of everything. After looking at many venues on The beach, this was by far the best value. I would not have changed anything!

Everything was awesome and went smoothly as planned. My event coordinator from there, Lisa, was awesome and helped to make sure everything went well. Also she was VERY prompt in returning my emails and phone calls. The venue is beautiful and they are flexibile when it comes to what you want.

I wish I could give them higher than a 5 on responsiveness and flexibility. My wedding was supposed to just be me and my husband on the beach and an intimate dinner after. Well to my surprise he knew that I really did deep down want our families there, so he invited them from all of the country and surprised me on the DAY of the wedding. My aunt apparently called the Sirata the day of our wedding as well and the staff immediately accommodated our large party of 30. They had champagne, table cloths and even a sweetheart table. They did a fantastic job for such a last minute reception. I seriously couldn't have asked for more.

Lisa and the staff at the Sirata were great. I had not seen the resort or the reception room until we arrived for the wedding from Colorado. They were wonderful sending me pictures and verifying every detail. They have great intimate packages and worked well with a destination bride. The only issue I had was I ended up working with 3 different people during the planning process, but Glad my wedding was coordinated by Lisa

The Sirata hosted our Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding Day Events. It was the perfect venue for everything and all of the staff was amazing, especially our Coordinator, Stacy. They were very helpful, accomodating, and made sure all of our party spaces were absolutely beautiful. Thank you for helping to make our wedding and Fourth of July so memorable!

We had a wonderful wedding at the hotel and the ceremony on the beach was incredible! We worked with Stacy Feldhusen, and she was remarkable! I would definitely recommend a wedding at the Sirata Resort. We had guests from Europe and the Middle East, and they were all impressed with the hotel and the location and the quality of food.

The Sirata was the perfect location for our beach wedding. The Royal Palm ballroom on the 8th floor was a beautiful reception site offering stunning views of the Gulf. When we decided on a beach wedding, after much searching, we found the Royal Palm to be the most elegant site with the most beautiful views in St. Pete beach - classier than the Grand Plaza and Tradewinds yet the same price and more budget friendly than the Don Cesar. We were bounced around several wedding coordinators in our six month planning period and ultimately ended up with Lisa just two weeks before the wedding. This initially concerned me, but she was fantastic. The rehearsal, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were coordinated perfectly by Lisa. There was not a hitch or flaw on our wedding day with anything she did...it was just like having our own personal wedding coordinator that day. The food and service were excellent. Our wait staff during the reception were excellent and charming. My only negative comment was the room block we reserved. Several of our guests ended up booking outside of our room block on their own because of more favorable rates. We felt the hotel should have matched those rates for our room block especially since the hotel was not full the weekend of our wedding. Otherwise, it was an A+ experience.

The Sirata was a great beach venue for us that allowed us to flexibility that many other venues would not. The wedding on the beach was beautiful and their staff was very very helpful and supportive when certain things weren't "perfect". Their ballroom offers an amazing beach view, very well prepared food, and a large dance floor for the wedding fun. We are very happy with our choice and enjoyed the Sirata very much. We plan to go back there for our anniversaries.

Our wedding coordinator, Kelli, was awesome! She took care of every detail during the rehearsal and the wedding day! I planned to have my aunt as my day of coordinator, but there was nothing left for her to do. Kelli had it all taken care of. The wedding on the beach, cocktail hour on the deck, and the reception in the Royal Palm Ballroom was perfect! The food was delicious! The only drawback to the Sirata was the reservations. My brother flew in late at night. My dad asked to get his room key since he was going to be in so late. They said no, that my brother must be present. When my brother arrived around midnight, he was told there were no more rooms and he had to stay at another hotel. Also, my mother in law was placed in a room down the hall where a team of lacrosse players were staying. She had to walk around clothes and equipment cluttering the hallway.I would still highly recommend the Sirata. I can't imagine you can plan for large groups without having a glitch or two.

This was a fantastic venue for us. We wanted to get married on the beach in a chic yet casual setting. The catering department can acheive everything from laid-back food and setting to the most elegant table setup. We were very satisfied with everything the Sirata did, and were able to stay in our budget. You won't be disappointed - they were truly wonderful to us and our guests. Their beach is a gorgeous place to tie the knot!

Sirata Beach Resort was a great place to have my wedding. We live in nearby Orlando so it was easy to get over and talk with the various staff. The only negative was that we went through 4 wedding coordinators in one year. I'm not sure why they are leaving or being let go as they have weddings most weekends. Book early! About a week and half before the wedding, I sent an email to our current coordinator and never heard back from her. I called the Sunday before our Saturday wedding and tried to leave her message. This is how I found out she was no longer there. I left messages for the new coordinator and the manager. They have more than 1 coordinator so we got a call from Stacy on Monday who's been working there for over 2 years. She picked up quickly and everything went smoothly with the wedding. My only feedback was the lack of response in contacting me to let me know my coordinator had left. If I hadn't called, who knows when they would have.My (now) husband negotiated on the contract so we were able to get lower food/beverage minimum for our events as well as get the parking fee waived for the day. The resort charges $8 daily fee for parking (guests or visitors). So I encourage you to ask about those rates. We didn't do the contract for room rates because they wanted us to sign another contract that basically held us accountable for rooms that weren't booked and we didn't want to pay for the rooms if we didn't get enough guests. The "room rate" they gave us what was our guests ended up paying anyhow without the contract. One of the things we liked is that it included the wedding ceremony on the beach (you have different locations to choose from), the reception, food and beverage so we were only dealing with 1 vendor the whole time, which made it easier. The day of things went very smoothly and the buffet food was delicious. I would recommend Sirata!

My husband and I initially chose the Sirata because we wanted a laid back, elegant beach wedding without breaking the bank. We chose the Sirata above its neighbors because we liked Lisa and the way she handled herself. Imagine my shock when several months later I go to book my DJ and the secretary at the DJ place says, "Oh..they didn't tell you Lisa (my wedding coordinator) isn't at the Sirata anymore." I got no call or anything to let me know or introduce me to anyone new. Of course I was upset and concerned. Eventually it was all worked out but I wonder sometimes how long they would have gone without telling me..We eventually got hooked up with Kelli who tried her best to restore our trust. Overall we had an amazing rehearsal dinner and wedding. The food was awesome. The atmoshphere was great and of course the beach had amazing views. I only live about 10 minutes away so I had no problem just stopping by and we had quite a few meetings leading up to the wedding.Check in was a bit of a problem for some..Lisa had promised us a place for the groomsmen to get ready since the girls would be getting ready in the bridal suite. this got dropped throught the cracks. We eventually rented a room for the guys the day of the wedding but watch that check in time. Our Ceremony was at 4:30 and they still woundn't move the check in time from 4PM.. The Guys had to be ready for pictures by 1pm.. Kellie was great and I think paid for an extra night for us herself because my husband was so upset by the whole thing. My mom who paid for just about everything had to throw a fit to get checked into her room the night of the rehearsal dinner as the room was not ready by 4pm and she needed to get dressed for a 5pm rehearsal.. My step-sister aslo had a problem with check in and when she tried to find us was told there was no rehearsal dinner going on. that all aside most people there thought we had spent quite a bit more money than we actually had..they raved about the food which was so delicious (for the rehearsal and the reception). The whole thing was great. I guess a few bumps along the road are to be expected planning something like this. If I had it all to do over again I would definetly go with the Sirata. I loved that while I was getting ready I could look out over the beach and Grotto area and watch all the set up going on from the balcony. It was a gorgeous day and I told my husband I wish we had checked in a day earlier and stayed a day later...we really did have a good time and I plan on going back for our anniversary!!!

Our coordinatior Kelli was AMAZING! She was very prompt in returing any calls/emails during our planning. She was a great help! As for the resort itself, I wish I could say the same. We had 114 rooms and about 20 of our guests has issues with their rooms. Anywhere from wet floors, no air conditioning, broken phones, non working fridges to bugs etc...We had family from Michigan to California..it was very embarrassing. Building 4 seemed like it had been redone and was probably the nicest building. They charged 8.00 per night to park but we got them down to 5.00 per night. My dad and many others had to drive aroung for up to 45 minutes for parking then heard someone ask if they could park in Valet because it was empty and they said yes. Feel that they should have informed everyone of that from beginnig instead of frustrating my guests driving around forever. The day of my wedding Kelli had appts. at 12,1,and 2 p.m. My ceremony started at 3:30 p.m. with reception to follow. It was not Kelli's fault, but I feel they should not have scheduled appts for her on day of a wedding. I had to send family members down to set up. That was uncalled for. The food was DELICIOUS! We had open bar for 4 hours (5-9 p.m.) and they coincidently ran out of beer (all types) at 8:40 p.m. but then bar was fully stocked at 9:05 p.m. when it was cash bar from 9-10. My cake company said that the caterer (Sirata) supplies the cake boxes, but they obviously didn't...I had a four tier cake..I won't even mention the price but they sliced the whole thing (all different flavors) put on plates and passed out..there were tons of leftovers they they threw away instead of wrapping them for me or even going to one of the 3 restaurants on property to get a few boxes. I did not even get a piece of my wedding cake. WE brought thousands of dollars to this hotel, I thought they could at least wrap my cake. I spoke with the marketing manager and I will say they were very accomodating after all this! The bell hop Paul, Troy from Rum Runners, and Dominick from Harry's were great. I am not one to criticize everyone. I do give credit where credit is due.

Our original wedding coordinator at Sirata, Jamie, was extremely organized and attentive. When she left the resort it was nearly impossible to get a hold of anyone in the wedding department. My calls and e-mails were not returned during the few weeks before the wedding. You do not leave a bride hanging during the weeks before the wedding, especially when I was planning it from out of town.Once we arrived in Florida however, Stacy was able to answer all my questions and walked me through everything at the resort. She was very professional and calmed my fears about all the details. She's also a great problem solver and was able to whip up a beach umbrella for my musician and replace a lost dessert for a birthday girl at the wedding. The service during the reception was excellent. The servers were so attentive to my guests and me and my husband. The food tasted great and the bartenders had no trouble serving up a signature cocktail we had come up with. The only downfall was that we had an outdoor reception and had to be cleared out by 10 p.m., which I thought was a little early.

The food was delicious, the room for the reception was phenomenal, and the ceremony was stunning. If you are incredibly easy-going, the Sirata is a fantastic choice. But all in all, they do not quite know how to take care of a wedding, in terms of customer service. When people pour tens of thousands of dollars into your hotel, you should treat them with respect, and be as accommodating as you can be. They miscommunicated with us about our room block, adding on a per person charge for more than two people in a "double" room. Our experience with any other hotel anywhere is that a double room has two beds, and therefore a double occupancy of four people, not two. We had to apologize profusely to our guests, to whom it seemed we had lied. Additionally, they forced us into an early rehearsal the day before, which was fine, but meant we were going to need our rooms at the hotel to be ready before their standard 4 PM check-in. Not only did they refuse to let us get ready for the rehearsal by checking in 1-2 hours early, the rooms were STILL not ready by their official check-in time. My (the bride) parents' room wasn't ready until over half an hour later. As the people footing the bill, they were pretty unhappy with this. Stacy Feldhusen, our catering manager, was very helpful in making it up to us, bringing by champagne and desserts as the girls got ready the next day. She was also friendly and accommodating with my many emails in the weeks leading up to the wedding, though it was harder for outside people (my mother, for example) to get ahold of the resort. The biggest problem Sirata had was communication between its various agents: check-in did not communicate efficiently with Stacy, and the room blocking manager was absolutely horrible in communicating in general. But if you're planning a fairly simple, fairly small event, Sirata is an absolutely lovely place for your wedding.
