Brides of Venice

Brides of Venice has gone out of business. My dress was 6 weeks late. I called many times but no one answered the phone. When I finally spoke to someone they told me I needed to be patient and no one could call the vendor but the owner. I finally had to go in to the store to get an answer about when it would arrive. I was one of the lucky ones who actually received my dress before they closed. The bridal shop that did my alterations had 13 girls come in who ordered dresses at Brides of Venice and never received them. It was sad to see such a great bridal shop where my sister and many of her friends purchased their dresses go so downhill.

I live out of town, but was in the Venice area with my mom and sister soon after getting engaged. We started at Brides of Venice. It isn't the fanciest store around, but they have a good selection and can also order dresses if you want one they don't carry. Kathy spent hours with us, helping me try on dress after dress, carefully pinning me into them (rather than using clamps like the other stores), which allowed us to see what the dress would really look like in my size. I actually ended up having them order a dress they didn't carry, and they charged me $300 less than another store where I had seen it! Plus, Kathy (the seamstress) did an amazing job fitting me and made the coolest bustle for the dress ever! I got SO many compliments on my dress-- even the photographer and videographer said it was the best wedding gown they'd ever seen. I realize they might say that to everyone, but they both assured me that they do not! :)

I got my beautiful gown here and it was even on sale which was an added bonus. The ladies there were nothing but nice to me, my mom, my now mother in law and my bridesmaids. The only thing I wish, I wish they would have ordered the bridesmaid dresses individually instead of waiting until all orders were in....but luckily, they all came in on time, but was a little stressed about that. It was one of my bridesmaids that was the problem and the late one, but I just wish to relieve my stress, they would have ordered them one at a time instead of all together. Other than that, great service!

I got such a great dress at Brides of Venice and the seamstress was very prompt and helpful. My dress was steamed and ready to go without any problems. I am very happy with their service.

I was very happy to work with Kerri, the sales associate. She found me the perfect dress that fit my budget and I was very happy. However, the owner sold my mother a dress that was bit unappropriate for her size - which made me feel it was all about the money. Also, the seamstress managed to get a blood spot on my gown - but Kerri came to the rescue and cleaned it totally off!

Our expericence with this vendor was a disaster from the beginning. Orders were not processed correctly, fitting appointments were not as scheduled, or the work was not completed, or done incorrectly. We would not recommend this shop to anyone. I am waiting to hear a response from the personal letter I wrote to the owner.

Everyone at Brides of Venice was magnificent. They were all extremely helpful, kind, and willing to help you out in any way possible. I thought I had found the dress, so I went ahead and bought it- knowing in my mind that it wasn't really "THE ONE". I called them back to see about exchanging and they gave me a great deal. They told me that the money I had spent on my previous dress would all go towards another dress if I were to find one there. Well, I didn't find one there; in fact I couldn't find this dress anywhere. So even though I was cutting it close to my wedding date, they called in to order and ship it to their store and promised me I would get it on time. I took the risk and they received the dress about a week and a half in advance. The fit was absolutely perfect! PERFECT! The only thing that had to be done was the hemming at the bottom. It was "THE ONE"! In the end they are the true heroes that's made my wedding unforgettable. Thanks to their hard work, efforts and reliable words.

I was fortunate enough to find a dress right off of the rack that fit me perfectly. They worked with my entire bridal party and family to get everyone looking great. The MOB had some issues with her dress because of a medical condition that caused her to retain so much fluid she need to find a new dress, they worked with her and found her the prefect dress for the wedding.

I didn't get my dress there but I had my alterations done there and it was great. They took me step by step to show my which bra I needed and answered my every question. They are very knowledgable. I would use them again.

This was the worst bridal store I have ever been to. The women were very unhelpful. It was a chore for them to pull dresses and to schedule fittings. When fittings were scheduled they didn't remimber them and the store was closed leaving me to call and call to see where they were. Would not recommend this store. Shop at own risk!!!

I purchased all attire needed for my Wedding at Brides of Venice!! They were in the middle of switching owners when I was dealing with them but that was for the best!! Old owner was a disaster but the new owner was great and made up the mistakes of the old owner!! Would definitely recommend for all your wedding attire!!!

This was the first and only place I looked for a dress. Linda was a JOY to work with. She made me feel like a princess while helping me decide on a dress. And even after the wedding, when I came into the shop, she remembered me!

I got a great deal on my dress. They have a great clerance section. They carry name brand dress's if thats what your looking for. They also have a great seamstress. They are very freindly and helpful.
